Land owners and people living in Precincts 1, 2 and 4 of the Ballarat West Growth Area (BWGA) have been invited to a workshop this week where they will have the opportunity to discuss any concerns they may have as to how the BWGA will affect their ability to develop their land.
The invitation-only landowner consultation session will be held this week.
Design concepts for the Precincts will be on display at the community consultation session to help give land owners a working knowledge of what is proposed for the Ballarat West Growth Area and why it has been proposed.
Landholders will be provided with details of whether their land is affected by flooding or any other constraints such as heritage considerations.
The meeting will also detail further opportunities for land holders to be involved or have input into the process governing the development of the BWGA.
A similar session for community and interest groups will be held at the end of the month, those interested in attending should contact Council’s Strategic Planning Unit on 53205536.
