Ballarat Business Month B31 kicked off yesterday with two events held on the first day.
Over 35 events will be held over the month of August including workshops, briefings, presentations and networking opportunities all aimed at providing advice and information to assist organisations in growing their business.
City of Ballarat Mayor Craig Fletcher said Ballarat Business Month sat well with Council’s Economic Strategy 2010-2014 which lists Business Development and Innovation as a key priority area.
“The Economic Strategy indicates that a responsive and supportive business environment is critical to Ballarat attracting investment and consolidating its position as the capital of Western Victoria”.
“Enhancing and promoting programs such as B31 allows us to assist in developing industry capability and strengthening our knowledge based economy”.
Mayor Fletcher said Council was pleased to be partnering with the Ai Group in the delivery of B31.
“Council is committed to continuing our close relationship with local business associations and ensuring that together we continue to grow Ballarat as a premier place to do business”.
“Events like B31 are key to achieving this and we’re proud to be a major sponsor. We encourage all local businesses to get on board and make the most of this fantastic initiative”.
