Council Plan 2008 - 2013

The Council Plan 2008 to 2013 (PDF - 298KB) is the result of Council reviewing the Council Plan 2007 - 2012 (2006), as required by the Local Government Act 1989 annually. The plan has been projected to 2013 allowing Council to set the framework for business planning and budgeting for the next five years.

With the currently elected Council being in office until November 2008, the emphasis of this plan is to clearly identify projects and strategies that will be delivered in 2008/09, while still articulating directions for the remaining four years.

Incorporating Blueprint Ballarat

This Council Plan is deliberately structured around the Blueprint Ballarat vision for Ballarat which is also the vision for this Council Plan. The seven themes from Blueprint Ballarat form the body of the Plan - the things that Council is going to do to implement Blueprint Ballarat. The mission of the Council Plan has been taken directly from the section of Blueprint Ballarat that describes Council's part in its implementation.

The Strategic Resource Plan 2008 to 2013 (PDF - 129KB) details the financial and non-financial resources required to achieve the strategic objectives of the Council Plan and links to the five year budget that coincides with this period.
