Australian Ex-Prisoners of War Memorial

The Australian Ex-Prisoners of War Memorial honours more than 35,000 Australians who were held prisoner during thExPrisoners of War Australia - creste Boer War, the First World War, the Second World War and the Korean War.

It is a place of national honour, remembrance and healing for all Australians.

The Memorial takes visitors on a journey to a different time and place, where heroism, sacrifice and mateship were the defining characteristics of our prisoners of war. The Australian Ex-Prisoners of War Memorial was dedicated on Friday, 6 February 2004.

The Australian Ex-Prisoner of War Memorial is proudly supported by Tattersall's, the Federal and Victorian Governments, the City of Ballarat and by donations from businesses and individuals all over Australia.

Donations for ongoing development and maintenance of the Australian Ex-Prisoners of War Memorial are welcome and can be made by contacting: Australian Ex-Prisoners of War, Memorial Appeal, C/- Ballarat R.S.L., 2 Lyons St Sth, Ballarat Victoria 3350. Donations over $2.00 are tax deductible.
