Maintenance of Parks & Reserves
The Parks and Environment Unit have taken a programmed approach to the maintenance of our parks, reserves and open space within the municipality by dividing them into areas and allocating staff to maintain them. Each crew is responsible for their own area, but also assists other crews when the need arises. This may be due to special events preparation or seasonal grass growth. The area crews maintain the reserves in a programmed approach, generally maintaining each reserve monthly.
The areas maintained under this system are North, Central, Buninyong, Rural West, Sebastopol, Minor Areas, Roundabouts and Nibs, and Lakes and Waterways.
