Family Day Care
- participate in the Childrens Services Special Committee which focuses on issues that directly relate to the quality of care offered and includes policy development, promotion, customer feedback and standards of care
- participate in the Family Day Care Liaison group which provides an opportunity for interested community members, staff of the service and carers to act in an advisory and consultative role within the scheme
Early Year Education
- participate in the Advisory Committee which provides an advisory and guidance role to the City of Ballarats childcare centers
- participate in the parent group which provides valuable input into the quality of care and service provision
Best Start Project
- join one of the many working groups:
- promoting breastfeeding
- early years literacy
- Wendouree West Pre-School promotion
- get involved with Childrens Week, 22-28 October 2006 (25th Universal Children's Day) - Children's Week celebrates the right of children to enjoy childhood. It is also a time for children to demonstrate their talents, skills and abilities. Children's Week is an annual event celebrated in Australia during the fourth week in October each year. The week revolves around Universal Childrens Day, a day set aside by the United Nations General Assembly to promote friendship and understanding among children of the world. The United Nations General Assembly, UNICEF and the Governor General of the Commonwealth of Australia endorse and support the Celebration
