A playgroup is made up of a group of parents and children who meet regularly to play and socialise. The content and structure of playgroups varies according to the parents and childrens' needs. There are a large number of playgroups in Ballarat, and some of them are listed on the City of Ballarat's online Directory. To find out about other playgroups contact Playgroup Victoria (see below) who maintain a list of registered local playgroups. Some churches and primary schools run playgroups and your local Maternal and Child Health Centre may also be able to assist you to find a local group.
