Child Care Centre - Wendouree

Children aged from birth to five years old are cared for in small, relaxed, age-based groups and programs emphasis meeting individual and group needs through stimulating and responsive experiences and play. The Wendouree Children's Centre has been providing quality long-day care since 1989.

It is a small service registered for a maximum of 35 children at any one time and your child is provided with all they need for the day including a nutritious morning and afternoon tea and two course lunch meeting the requirements under the Start Right Eat Right program for which the Centre is accredited.

The team of professional staff are committed to providing quality care for your child in a warm, friendly and safe environment, along with opportunities for family involvement in all aspects of the service.

Your child will have the opportunity to explore the natural outdoor play area, garden beds and dry rock ponds. The children are encouraged to be part of the development of this garden and take pleasure in watching it grow.

Staff ratios at Wendouree are one staff member for every five children under the age of three years old, and one staff member for every 15 children over the age of three years.

Wendouree Pre-School

A new kindergarten program is now available from the Wendouree Pre-School. This new service incorporates a kindergarten program from 9.00am until 1.00pm five mornings per week, with morning tea and lunch provided. Childcare is available every afternoon from 1.00pm until 6.00pm.

Kindergarten is provided for 25 places and is structured as follows:

• an educational program for 4-5 year olds
• flexible delivery for working/studying parents
• excursions into the local community
• opportunities for special days and visitors
• a stimulating, secure environment nurturing individuality
• childcare available before and after kinder sessions

Accreditation

The Wendouree Children's Centre has successfully attained accreditation with the National Childcare Accreditation Council Inc. (NCAC). View the Wendouree Children's Centre Accreditation History on the NCAC website.

Hours & Costs

Opening hours are Monday to Friday - 7.00am to 6.00pm. The Centre is open 48 weeks per year, with a holiday program available to those needing care during January.

Full time weekly care	$236.00* per week
Day care 7.00am - 6.00pm	$60.00* per day
Part-time morning care (7.00am 12.30pm)	$33.00* per morning
Part-time afternoon care (12.30pm 6.00pm)	$30.00 per afternoon

*includes lunch.
