Overview
City of Ballarat Youth Services is located at Youth Head Quarters (YHQ) and is an information resource centre for young people aged 12-25 years. Youth Services provide:
- support
- resources
- entertainment
- skill development
Council value the contribution of youth in the community and take pride in advocating on their behalf via programs such as the Splinta Youth Council.
Youth Services work in collaboration with community organisations and members to develop a strong network, enabling new ideas and projects that suit young people's needs. Projects such as the new skate park and BMX tracks are examples of this. 'STUFFEST' an annual festival is growing every year and is an opportunity for young people to showcase their talent. The festival is run by young people with the support of Council staff.
