Community Development Grants

The City of Ballarat Community Development Grants Program 2008/2009 will commence on Saturday 26 April 2008. Applications will be accepted for a period of 6 weeks with the deadline for applications being 5.00pm Wednesday 4 June 2008. Applications are available online or from Customer Service in the Phoenix Building, 25 Armstrong St Sth, Ballarat. 

The Grants Program annually distributes $150,000 to not-for-profit community groups for projects , events and programs that support/provide services to enhance the quality of life for Ballarat residents. Grants usually range between $500 and $5,000 but requests for up to $10,000 will be considered.

To assist organisations that would like to submit an application, Council will hold two Information Workshops in the Town Hall Trench Room on:

• Wednesday 7 May 2008 2 - 3pm
• Tuesday 13 May 2008 6-7pm

 At these workshops, groups will have an opportunity to talk through projects and ask questions. Applicants may wish to attend one of these sessions.  In addition, Council's Community Strengthening and Services Team are available on 5320 5746 to offer advice and support to any organisation with regard to an application.
