How was the committee selected?
Expressions of Interest were sought from the local community to fill the Committee positions. All applications were reviewed by an appointed City of Ballarat sub-committee and recommendations considered at a Council Meeting.
What criteria was used during the selection process?
Prospective committee members must meet some or all of the following criteria:
- Have significant experience and expertise in either of the health, education, business or community service sectors
- A demonstrated involvement in community-based activities relevant to the themes of Blueprint Ballarat
- Have significant experience and demonstrated success in working on community planning exercises
- Previous experience in strategic planning and policy development
- A demonstrated broad network of contacts with relevant stakeholders in the Ballarat region, and/or links to external community organisations and government departments
- A demonstrated ability to liaise with local stakeholders
- Will contribute to reflecting the diversity of the Ballarat community and its people
